Benchmark Genetics appoints Data Analytics & Product Performance Specialist
Benchmark Genetics has appointed Yuanhao “Jack” Li as Data Analytics & Product Performance Specialist in a newly established role to strengthen the company’s ability to document and communicate the performance of its salmon genetics portfolio. Li joined Benchmark Genetics on 1 July and is part of the company’s Marketing team.
Before joining Benchmark Genetics, Jack served for seven years at Mowi as a Data Scientist in salmon aquaculture analytics, supporting data-driven decision-making across Mowi’s global salmon farming and processing operations. Prior to joining the aquaculture industry, he was an Assistant Professor at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), where he taught Fisheries and Aquaculture Economics and Resource Economics. He currently also serves as an Adjunct Researcher at the Centre for Applied Research (SNF) at NHH. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Wyoming, an MSc in Financial Engineering from New York University and a BSc in Finance from Hebei University.
The new role reflects Benchmark Genetics’ growing focus on data-driven performance documentation and customer value creation. Jack will report to the Marketing Director, Birgitte Sørheim, and work across the Product Marketing, Commercial, R&D, Bioeconomics, and IT teams.
