Kollafjordur is our freshwater hatchery for Atlantic salmon in Iceland.
The farm has access to clean spring water from the nearby mountain Esja. It is equipped with 200 small tanks that enable us to produce 200 families each year, carefully chosen from our selective breeding program of the StofnFiskur strain.
Using its unique environmental resources to produce and raise healthy and robust smolts of Atlantic salmon, the farm has a pivotal role within the company. The salmon is then transferred to our broodstock centers at Vogavik and Kallmanstjörn
