Aquaculture Is Entering a New Era And Genetics Is Leading the Way

Benchmark Genetics is pleased to share that Kristian Botnen, CEO, will speak at the North Atlantic Seafood Forum (NASF) 2026 in Bergen, taking place March 3–5. This will be his first time on stage in this role.

Aquaculture is standing at a decisive turning point. Modern breeding technologies and genomic insights are reshaping what is possible and redefining the future of global seafood production.

Kristian, who stepped into the CEO role in November 2025, brings broad and deeply rooted leadership experience from across the aquaculture industry. He will contribute to the Aqua Industry News session on opening day:
