Vi m\u00e5ler fenotype b\u00e5de manuelt ved bruk av SalmoFan og ved bruk av spektroskopi. Vi har ogs\u00e5 anvendt metoden n\u00e6r-infrar\u00f8d spektroskopi (NIR), enten som et m\u00e5lepunkt i henhold til Norwegian Quality Cut (NQC) eller som et gjennomsnittsm\u00e5l for hele fileten. Innenfor en populasjon av laks er det en stor forskjell i hvor mye astaxantin per kg som man m\u00e5ler i den enkelte filet. Derfor er denne egenskapen mulig \u00e5 forbedre gjennom selektert avl (Figur 1). For \u00e5 kartlegge hver mark\u00f8rs bidrag til filetfarge, blir det tatt en pr\u00f8ve fra fettfinnen til fisken. Denne blir genotypet og knyttet opp mot fenotypen til hvert enkelt individ. Vi foretar en genomvid assosiasjonsstudie (GWAS) av pr\u00f8ven. For SalmoBreedstammens 2015-\u00e5rsklasse ble det foretatt genotype av 1698 fisk ved bruk av en spesialdesignet Affymetrix SNP array, NOFSAL03, som best\u00e5r av mer enn 50.000 SNP mark\u00f8rer.<\/p>\n<p>En GWAS var ogs\u00e5 ble ogs\u00e5 benyttet til \u00e5 koble individuelle m\u00e5linger av mg\/kg-1 astaxanthin i hele fileten til det genomiske uttrykket (Figur 2). Den grafiske fremstillingen, et s\u00e5kalt manhattan plot, viser at det er \u00e9n QTL som i st\u00f8rre grad enn andre\u00a0 bidrar til \u00e5 forklare pigmenteringsniv\u00e5et. A level of 1-3 is considered as \u201cpoor levels\u201d and you can expect a pale fillet. From 5.5, the astaxanthin levels are \u201cgood\u201d, and from 7, the level of astaxanthin is \u201creally good\u201d.<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-separator size_medium\"><\/div><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Benchmark tilbyr GS og QTL for pigmentering. Siden 2017 har disse teknologiene blitt implementert for \u00e5 forbedre kvaliteten p\u00e5 fenotypene. Filetfarge har v\u00e6rt en egenskap som vi har selektert for i avlsprogrammet til SalmoBreed-stammen siden 2005. M\u00e5let har v\u00e6rt \u00e5 forbedre filetpigmentering jevnt og trutt for hver generasjon av stamfisken i v\u00e5r avlskjerne.
