Until 2000, the selection was done through mass phenotypic selection. In 2000, family breeding was introduced. Since 2009, new genomic technologies such as QTL and GS has been introduced. Adem\u00e1s, esta metodolog\u00eda ayuda a minimizar la consanguinidad controlando los pedigr\u00edes.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"1613399648863-bacdfea4-5eaac771-196c\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-1613399648863-bacdfea4-5eaac771-196c\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h3 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">El valor de la informaci\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica<\/h3><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-1613399648863-bacdfea4-5eaac771-196c\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Para rasgos como crecimiento, donde el fenotipo se puede medir directamente, la selecci\u00f3n individual es eficiente.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, para la mayor\u00eda de los rasgos comerciales importantes no es posible obtener mediciones individuales, por lo que la selecci\u00f3n familiar es esencial. Aun as\u00ed, esta no captura la variaci\u00f3n dentro de una misma familia.<\/p>\n<p>Por eso es necesario aplicar selecci\u00f3n individual mediante informaci\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica. Benchmark Genetics utiliza selecci\u00f3n gen\u00f3mica desde 2009 y la ha implementado en todos sus programas internos.<\/p>\n<p>El genoma del salm\u00f3n tiene aproximadamente 3 mil millones de pares de bases, con millones de sitios que pueden variar. Para identificar individuos superiores no es necesario analizar cada SNP: basta con marcadores que representen regiones clave.<\/p>\n<p>La genotipificaci\u00f3n de 70K SNPs permite estimar con precisi\u00f3n el m\u00e9rito gen\u00e9tico sin mapear todo el genoma.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"w-tabs-section\" id=\"1613399649070-5e7c49ac-727bc771-196c\"><button class=\"w-tabs-section-header\" aria-controls=\"content-1613399649070-5e7c49ac-727bc771-196c\" aria-expanded=\"false\"><h3 class=\"w-tabs-section-title\">Selecci\u00f3n Asistida Por Marcadores (MAS)<\/h3><div class=\"w-tabs-section-control\"><\/div><\/button><div  class=\"w-tabs-section-content\" id=\"content-1613399649070-5e7c49ac-727bc771-196c\"><div class=\"w-tabs-section-content-h i-cf\"><div class=\"wpb_text_column\"><div class=\"wpb_wrapper\"><p>Para rasgos controlados por pocos loci de gran efecto (QTLs), se puede seleccionar directamente a partir de esos marcadores.<\/p>\n<p>En salm\u00f3n Atl\u00e1ntico, un QTL significativo para resistencia al virus IPN fue identificado en 2007 y explica m\u00e1s del 80% de la variaci\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica.
